Role overview
Forward Deployed Engineer · Sydney / Melbourne / Remote (Australia) · Hybrid or remote, with regular travel to customer sites.
Mission
Sit alongside Australian dealerships during deployment. Translate their operating reality into working configurations of the SpectraIQ platform and make sure every implementation lands cleanly.
Responsibilities
- Partner with dealership operators to understand their existing systems, workflows and commercial priorities.
- Configure and deploy SpectraIQ modules against each customer's environment.
- Design integration approaches on a case-by-case basis, working with internal engineering.
- Support the first weeks of live operation and translate feedback back into the product.
- Document deployment learnings and contribute to internal implementation playbooks.
Success measures
- Customers reach steady-state operation on the timeline agreed in scoping.
- Post-launch escalations decline over the first 90 days.
- Product and engineering receive structured feedback each release cycle.
Required experience
- Experience deploying enterprise software into complex customer environments.
- Strong applied engineering skill, comfortable across APIs, data flows and integration tooling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with commercial stakeholders.
Preferred experience
- Prior exposure to automotive retail, dealer management systems or CRM environments.
- Experience with AI-adjacent platforms or workflow automation.
